Farm Field Trips
Experience Agriculture Firsthand with a Field Trip to New Roots Community FarM
Established in 2019, New Roots Community Farm is dedicated to enhancing the viability of local farms, increasing community access to fresh, local food, and educating the next generation about our food system.
Our farm field trips offer a unique, hands-on learning experience tailored to the season, age group, and current farm operations.
Students will explore various aspects of agriculture, from understanding the U.S. food system and the impact of farming on daily life to nutrition literacy, self-sufficiency, and gardening.
Each visit is designed to be interactive and fun, engaging students in farm tasks and lessons that make learning about agriculture an unforgettable experience.

Schedule your
Field TRip
Field trips are available on select weekdays throughout the year, typically on Mondays and Fridays.
Each trip lasts 3 hours and is scheduled from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
At New Roots Community Farm, the safety and supervision of your students are our top priorities. We can accommodate up to 60-80 students, and large groups will be divided into smaller, manageable rotations. Small groups are always welcome as we aim to ensure each student gets the most out of their farm experience and ensures their safety and supervision.
If you want to schedule a shorter field trip, please email our Program Manager directly at kristi@newrootscommunityfarm.com with your group size and availability.
Please note that we are currently only accepting bookings for Fall of 2024.
Stay tuned for available Spring 2025 dates!
